With some cast bullets a 358 GC will work. If not put a card over your powder, I have used this method with light cast plain base bullets in the 45/70 with good success.
Absolutely do not do this if there is a space between the powder card and the bullet base. I have seen it and it is very well documented that a ringed chamber is a very distinct possibility if this is done. 45-70 is one of the most common cartridges to have this happen because of the continuous search for an accurate "recoiless 45-70" round using small powder charges.
