This 760 has been impossible to find much information on let alone trying to place a value or track down a modern day Remington historian.
It has a date code of -AN- so made March of 1966 and is in very good conditio
What makes this rare is it is chambered in .222 Rem, now Nuts will know that the .222 & .223 are highly sought by collectors with small production runs starting in the late '50s with 3106 .222s made from '57 to early '58. So stumbling onto either for sale is a rarity as its anyone's guess how many made it up here.
This one made in 1966-Serial #460990 was 1 of 200 made for the International Running deer matches and as author Gene Myszkowski said in his book on collecting 760's he had never seen one. I have sent a few emails to prominent GS's down south like Steve Barnett and others but have not responded. Just wanted to gather info, not interested in selling south!
So any one seen one or have any further info to enlighten me with, or who to get in touch with for more info?
