except for maybe the 629 v-comp or model 41, the S&W performance centre guns don't do it for me. in fact i actually cringe a little when i look at some of them. too bad they don't make a nice conservative looking gun that is also finely tuned.

Well, I just ordered a TRR8 2 weeks ago, knowing that I would ordered a 986 pro instead. I will definitely order one asap.

I'm a bit choked that the 986 is a 7 shot and and not an 8 shot like the 929 (and 627, which I have and will get a 986 as a companion to.)

Until the rules for gun games change to be more accommodating to 6-plus shot revolvers, I can't say I'd put money into either of the new 9mm revolvers. They are cool in concept (kinda ugly though) and everything but I couldn't justify that price. Hopefully IPSC will adopt the new USPSA rules for revo division (I'm assuming that's a significant portion of why these 9mm revolvers were designed).

Saw the pic of the new 929 in Jerry Miculek's YouTube channel
Doesn't look as good as I wish with the titanium cylinder. However it uses moon-clip which I really like. Wonder how long we have to wait for it to cross the border.

968= L frame (ie:686)
929= N frame (ie: 627)

thats why the round difference

I would love to see the 929 with a 4.2 or 5 inch barrel with a Hi-Viz sight and a set of the JM wood grips.

Well the 9mm revolver gods have finally smiled on us old type shooters!
I am going to Shot in a little over a week, it's going to be nice to look at the 2 different models , and
See how long the wait will be till there in Canada?
It would be nice if the made the L Frame 9mm with a 4.25" barrel!
Will have to ask if they can be made on special order or not?
Will give a review when I get back
