.40 cal muzzle brake?

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a Sub2000 gen 2 in .40S&W and I can’t for the life of me find any muzzle devices in a 9/16x24 thread pattern. It seems to be next to impossible here in Canada. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I tried to look for one for myself a while back and the Shooting Centre had an MCARBO one that said 9mm in the title, but the description says it works on .40 cal as well. I didn't look any further than that. I just didn't want to spend the money on it and found out it didn't fit (at the time I only had the Sub2K as my only PCC - nowadays I probably would have tried it since if it doesn't fit I can put it on one of my 9mm PCCs).

I share your frustration - these are hard to find...and I could have really used one over the years since on such a light gun in .40 cal the barrel does jump on me.

Ya not to many people buy it in the .40S&W. I wanted to be different even though it costs more to shoot. It’s just to bad the barrel thread is such an odd size here in Canada.
 
I am pretty sure that the "odd ball" thread size is specifically so you can't screw on a 9mm, 30 cal or other cal muzzle brake that would be too small in diameter for the 40 cal bullet. I would like to find an A2 flash hider for my JRC in 40, so far not in Canada that I have seen.

I know that I am somewhat late to this thread however you might want to google Infinite Product Solutions.

I got my hands on a lovely break with shroud in 40 S&W threaded 9/16 x 24

The muzzle treatmend in question looks like this (shroud not shown - that is what the external threads are for)!!

The entire kit I purchased looks like this:

Now be warned, when I was on there site and went to the check out, there was an issue and something about not being able to ship the item I wanted.

So I called them up, and it turned out to be a website issue and they got me all sorted out with decent shipping costs.

Moril of the story ................ when in doubt call them!!

Just thought I would share this.
