.40 col with speer 165gr

hey all currently working up a load for my p320 full size sig
lee manual stateds min col 1.25 for my speer tmj 165 gr
i see variations from about .005
i use 4 die lee carbide set
im thinking its the bullet but not sure my lyman manual say min is 1.200 should i be worried now that im 2 grains from max most of my rounds are spot on at 1.270 but some differ?
my lowest is 1.118

seat the bullet so it feeds reliably in your gun, start low and work up. Doesn't matter what the book says for OAL, it's just a guide to get you started. For plinking loads i just seat to the cannalure (if there is one) or seat it so it fits in the mag and feeds good.

I.2 to 1.27 sounds just fine. If they fit the mag and pass the plunk test and feed - they are perfect for YOUR pistol.
