.40 mags in 9mm gun

Advoc is right . I have BHP's in both 9mm and .40S&W and can confirm it doesn't work.

There are only some cases where it works, certain model with a certain magazine. Factory 40 mags work in my 226, now that I have a 92FS, I'll try to find some 96 mags for extra capacity.

I'm told it works for Sig and Beretta. I know it doesn't work for Browning. Unsure about other brands......

any one have experiance with M&P40 mags in a M&P9

40 M&P does not feed with 9mm ammo. tried it.

Got to talking with another fellow at the local range, I had my M&P40, he had his M&P9 so we decided to give it a try. 2 of my 40 mags worked fine, the other 2 had feeding issues with the last 3-4 rounds. Was an interesting experiment.

Spot on lad, can't get a better illustration than that, and I thought I was onto a winner.

Even if you could legally adjust the feed lips it looks like they would need a lot of bending, it doesn't look like the material is there for that and to be still able to keep the same feed profile.

Thanks.

I have a Hi Power 40. Here's the best answer you're going to get.

Consequently. I think I'm going to buy a few magazines form Brownells.. Thanks for the heads up!!!!

Was out at the range tonight, I ran 60rnds of 9mm through my M&P9 with a M&P.40 s&w mag. One jam out of the 60 rounds, so not to bad all in all.
