.40 S&W and power pistol

I am trying out Power Pistol powder in loads for my M&P40 in .40 S&W with a 180 gr lead truncated cone bullet at 1.120 OAL(feeds good in my pistol) I have no reloading manual info for lead but through reasoning and looking at other 180 grn loads I am thinking of starting at 6.2 grains of powder and working up to make a Major power factor load but not so fast it leads out the bore (hence the 180's as opposed to lighter bullets) Any comments or suggestions from people loading with Power Pistol would be appreciated.

I dont think you will have to worry about leading up the barrel... I use lead bullets in my 40's and they are 180 flat point and I use the alliant powder data with bullseye with out any issues.
