Good afternoon fellows,

I am hoping someone can help me find more extensive reloading data for .40 S&W.

Exactly using Hodgdon HS-6 powder and 175 Gr. Lead SWC bullets.

My Lyman manual has disappointed me, it's min and max loads are out to lunch. The minimum load was like shooting a hand cannon. (7 gr)

Thanks !

Jeff

Some very accurate PPC X-ring light loads I use in 40 are 3.7 gr. of Bulseye and 4.0 gr. of W231. Seat the bullet almost flush with the top driving band of the 175gr if its a SWC. Depending on your recoil spring load up five of each then adjust up or down .1gr just to operate the slide

I know it's not what you asked for but I load 4.7grMAX of Titegroup with 180gr FMJ and it shoots like a dream and it's the cleanest powder I have ever shot.

I still have not found a conclusive load on HS-6. However I believe I am going to buy 4 lb's of titegroup.

Has anyone reloaded the 180 gr. FMJ FP bullets from Marstar?

Thanks!
Jeff
