40S&W 180 xmetal loads

I reload and switched from plated 180 gr to the 180 gr x-metal. I was able to drop the charge of Longshot from 6.2 gr to 5.4. Less felt recoil . I had several friend test this to get their take. After a match the barrel is brite and clean. The bullets just disappear on hitting steel so no splash back of copper. I found no change in accuracy . I shoot them in a CZ TAC SPORT Orange

Just finished reloading 500 40's. The best cast 40 cal bullet around is Magma Engineering's 155 semi-wad cutter in front of 3.6 grains of PROMO(RedDot). Target quality, way less recoil than 180's.
My friend Rick, at R and R bullets in Maitland made them.

I also use Rick's 155 SWC in my M&P 40. Best accuracy of all the bullets I tried, and over 3.2 gr of TG, not much recoil.
