40s&w: Titegroup, Blue dot, Power Pistol, Universal

Well that's the powder I got lined up with around 5K bullet (lead/Plated) and 5500 primer.

Any of those that SHOULDN'T be used?

Here are my recipe so far:

Titegroup:
3.4-3.8gr 200 FMJ
4.2-4.7gr 180 FMJ

Universal:
4.0-4.7gr 200 FMJ
5.0-5.8gr 180 FMJ
4.7gr 180 LEAD
4.3gr 200 LEAD

Power Pistol:
5.7-6.3gr 200 FMJ
6.2-6.9gr 180 FMJ

Blue Dot:
7.1-7.9gr 200 FMJ
7.9-8.8gr 180 FMJ

Still need to find for lead but most use data for FMJ - 0.4gr.

Something I was woundering, I was loading to 1.135" in my CZ, I can go up to 1.170", is there any benefit? I'm waiting for my PARA P16-40 to arrive and working up a load with 4 powder, 3 bullet, 2 gun, OAL from 1.135" to 1.170" would be a real pain...
 
If you are looking for a minor load for IPSC or an IDPA SSP/ESP load to shoot IDPA then 2.8gr of Titegroup under a 180 gr lead bullet makes PF, is accurate and very soft shooting.

I run the following through mz CZ-75 in .40
4.3gr Universal
I use those loads with both lead and jacketed 180gr. According to the chrony, they run about a PF of 127K

I use 4.4gr of Titegroup for a nice standard load as well (jacketed only)
 
I guess I'll bring 200 target and 10-20 rounds of each and see.

I find that Universal is not accurate in my CZ.
 
depends on what you are trying to do. if you are looking to make major in IPSC and based on the above numbers use tight group. you want to use the least amount of powder that will give you major.
