If you're not attached to it and have no plans to restore it, you might as well pass it on. Should be easy to find someone who knows it's significance and will appreciate it. I know I'd absolutely love to have one in my personal collection

Always wanted one. Prestigious wood stocks makes new reproduction stocks for them. That would put you a step closer to restoring. A new piece can be welded onto the muzzle, bored oversize and bayo lugs made. Well worth restoring. Working condition is a big start also.
the barrel isnt shortened. the pins have been removed and the bayonet lug has been removed is all. just need a replacement lug

I tried to buy something off Sarco once but United States was the only shipping country so I moved on... Was there some trick to get them to ship to Canada?
Call them. Have a list of what you want ready. They took my order over the phone. Seems stupid but it’s the way they do Canadian orders.

Be prepared to overpay for something that will require extensive fitting on your part..

There is an international order email for shipping to Canada. I often deal via phone. So far they have been very helpful.

Century Arms sold them for $49.95
They came from Asia
Had a few of them, wood and missing small parts were the issues
