Was at range today, and did video of my friend shooting my S&W Model 657 in .41 Magnum . Shooting 210 gr SJHP with 21.0 gr H110.
Some great fireballs! That's a fun spicy cartridge in a 4" N frame.

Great gun and cartridge. I am kicking myself for selling my 610. Had it reamed for 10mm Magnum which truly was a .41 analog. There is something about that certain spot that checks a lot of boxes and is still very enjoyable to shoot.

I'm a big fan of the .41 as well, a Goldilocks magnum. Just right. I also have a beautiful S&W Model 57 in 6".

But you are spot on saying that the 4" N frame is the sweet spot for that cartridge.

Awesome!

I have a S&W Model 57 that originally had a 4" barrel on it but I had Murray Charlton put a factory 6" on it & give it one of his famous 'tunes'.

The .41 Mag is a great ctg!

NAA.

Very nice TC. Those are great pics. That 657 of yours is a true unicorn.

Probably a silly question, but I'm not very tech-minded and I'd like to know how you captured the flashes? I have been able to capture one flash out of many shots, but never so many in a row. Do you take a video and just grab the flash off of the video? I'd love to know the trick.

I'm also not too high tech...I did video, then went in and scanned frame by frame, and grabbed those that had fireballs like that.
