410 brass conversions

I made some using 303. A lot of work, 30% failures. Poor results.
Same here, a lot of work.
Had to file down the base of the case until they would close in my 410 double then deepen the primer pockets so the primers would seat flush, anneal the brass, fireform, repeat if not fully formed.
It was fun for a while but just too much hastle.

I have two LE "410". One is the original Indian type, the other is modern 3" .410. I tried blowing out .303 for the original chamber, but didn't have very good luck. Potashminer sent me some unfired PPU .303 brass to try. Every one blew out without a crack!! In the modern one, I use reloaded normal .410 hulls or 444 Marlin. I have fun shooting them with 2 .395 balls or two balls flattened and sized to .410, or a 410 cast bullet.

anneal those cases like they will be annealed in a nuclear reactor
the pressures are low enough for those cases to last forever.
