If anyone's interested, I found some .410 buckshot (000, I think) at WSS in Calgary.

$6ish/box.

I bought 5 and there were still about 20 there.

5 - 9mm(ish)seized pellets.

5 - rounds per box.

I've never seen this for sale before, so I thought I'd let anyone who was interested (in Calgary) get some.

I bought 5 boxes and don't really intend on firing it all that often, so I figure I've got enough for a couple of decades.

Nope, the .410 isn't quite big enough .. I was thinking of bringing some .410 slugs with me to use when Grousing so if I came accross a Deer .... but I was promptly put straight.

I load 410 buckshot in 444 marlin brass.Win 410 plastic wad,4 Obuck pellets (32 cal) plastic over shot card.
Best shot ever was 4 balls in a gopher @ 30 yds.
Quite Messy

Neat idea... wonder how many #4 buck would fit.

I would think that less than bore sized shot would spread out quite quickly because of spin imparted by the rifling.

A bore sized ball would just spin and not spread out, like what happens in a muzzleloader shooting round ball.

My .410 does not have rifling.
