This looks identical to the Canuck Evolve. The Evolve will shoot 3", but not 45LC.

The website says non restricted NR and 5 round capacity for $795

Look like to me that if you put 45 LC in , since it is a smooth bore barrel , may not behave properly .

Is the receiver alloy or steel? I can only assume this is the new model with the stronger steel frame.

Looked at this model yesterday at our LGS, it definitely has an aluminum or cast alloy receiver/frame. Not steel....
