When I did load 410, my pet load was 16gr of 296, WIN209, WAA410HS; gives about ~1200fps out of a 26" barrel. You can also safely use this load in Win AA HS hulls; I just checked and the charge weights are within safe limits.

Hodgdon H110 can also substituted for 296(they're the same thing).

What digitalblue said, thats my current load for #9 shot with skeet, no problem shooting 25 straight with that load. I shoot that load from a berretta 682 32" barrels with briley 410 companion tubes.

I don't bother with the 2 1/2" hulls, they have no poop. I use 3 inch with 296 powder, and although I have shot trap in the past, i only use them for shooting upland birds now.
