It's far from uncommon. Just sold out like a lot of things lately.
Asked challenger and they aren't making slugs until they catch up with their other lines.
Bought last hert box from cabelas barrie a while back.

While not quite what you are looking for, I load cut-down Federal Upland 3" with 8gr. of Trail Boss, cardboard and fibre wads to take up space, and two .395 cast balls. I made these up to shoot in my old No.1 MkIII single shot .410. The one I use these in has been chambered for proper .410 shotgun ammo. I also have one in the original blown-out .303 chambering. It won't chamber .410.
The 3" one is surprisingly reasonably accurate, but is pretty much for fun shooting at laundry jugs, etc.

I just got another email response, this time from Winchester, they didnt comment on whether they would be sending anything to Canada specifically, just the typical media response of we're working on it, we're trying, thanks for your support.
I was thinking of purchasing some 410 brass for my revolver carbine. Grab a few boxes and then im good until im not.
For my Henry Axe i want to shoot it at my range but its single projectile only rules, so no in-line 000 buck, its one only. I have been saving hulls and have gotten some second hand to reload slugs too. Was looking at 000 buck and working up a slug load for 50+ yards range, I was otherwise looking at importing moulds from russia but that projects gotta go to the back burner for a while.

I'm not meaning to be rude but we are in the middle of yet another panic. When I had my stupid Taurus Raging Judge you could buy certain .410 buckshot for less than bulk 12g. Now you can't even find it, but that goes for so many things these days.
