410 trap

I just got back from shooting trap at the Strathcona range. I was using a 410 just for ####s and I got 20 out of 25. It was from the 16 yrd lind but I liked it alot. I just may have to buy a 410. Only thing is its 13 bucks for a box of shells.

I will shoot a couple of rounds per year out of my 101 .410 for kicks as well. You could always handload to save a few bucks.

If your gunna shoot the .410 reloading is the only way to go. I do up my reloads for about $3.25 ber box.

Please clarify, from the 16 yds line, does that mean clays were mostly 16 yds distant? If not what were max and min distances of clays?

I was 16 yards from the trap house.

A trap layout has the throwing machine 16 yds. from the 16 yd. line and most people are hitting birds 30-32 yds. away, depending on whether they shoot fast or slow!

ah that musta been your gunshots i was hearing lol i was sittin in the backyard cookin thinking hmmm i wish i could go over there and blast away for a hour.
