Does anyone have such a round chambered? I'm getting a 270 in which I don't really need. However the longer action would allow longer bullets to be used. Just wondering about potential performance. Would it be worth it? What would it mimic?
I was unable to find any load data

You will come very close to the 416-350 RM, you might have better luck finding data for that.............Excellent use of a 270 I might add........gets another one out of the game fields............;);):D:D

Why not a .375-284? Of course for folks wanting a .41 calibre thunker, the .416 has a greater bullet selection as far as jacketed projectiles are concerned compared to .411. Either one would fill the bill.

Looked at the 375 but I will eventually get a 375 hh so I don't have a need a short version. I don't have a 40 cal! The 416 could be fun but I don't need the full potential and cost of the rem mag or Rigby so I think I could be happy with a short version. The 284 case should move a 3-400 gr slug nicely enough for a short range bear thumper
