Howdy folks.
Not sure if this is the right spot for this question (overseers may move at their discretion).

I am interested in the J Allen Enterprises JAE 100 G2 (second generation I gather) rifle stock for the M1A/M14 platform.

I doubt this is a easy item to acquire and was curious if any members knew of any being in Canada, or if there is a supplier up here.

Thanks for any assistance folks.

There about 1000 bucks maybe a bit more now with the increased exchange and I am not sure of the status of the export of them I know they had problems in the past getting them up here. Talk to either of the two mentioned dealers they will give you the lowdown...

I priced one out a little while ago for the Remington 700 and I was up around the $1600 mark.. that was with minimal accessories...thats where these stocks really start to get expensive, is adding on all the options...

lots of speculation here. I have one. and I can tell you this. by the time you are done putting even the basics, and the exchange you are over 1600 bucks. it took me over a year and a bit to get mine. They are awesome but unless you are going to be putting it on a supermatch (which you have to let them know due to inletting) I would go with something that is a bit more "available". I'll take a picture of mine and post it.

cheers,

I have a gen 1 and love it. The problem is that EVERYTHING is an option and none of it cheap. I ordered a RSA 700 over 14 months ago when the dollar was at par and it was $1600. I lost patience and the dollar differance is over 20% and they still aren't in production so I cancelled.

Thanks for all the input guys, it is helpful. I have a email into Wolverine and await the word from them.
The JAE website shows the stocks listing at 599.00 with the add on rails and odds and ends i was figuring close to 1000.00 complete plus exchange.
I will keep you posted on this as soon as I hear, I may be in for a rude awakening (happens to me a lot in this country :p ).

I just canceled my order like 2 weeks ago.. You are going to be paying above and beyond $1600 for the stock. But from everything I have seen and heard, it is worth the money and worth the wait....

Mine's a gen 1 and I love it. I got it used here a while ago. I had to do a bit a work so that it would clear the heavy barrel at the tip but otherwise it I works perfect.

The Gen II is supposed ot be much more adaptable and 'tuneable to the rifle, especially the M14 system.

You can also luck out and find one on the EE like I did.

I posted a "wanted to buy" and had two responses. They are very durable and well made, so you should have no worries about buying one used. The titanium lugs that give it the "metal on metal" contact between the receiver and stock seem invincible.
