Hi guys looking for re-usable 41cal brass for my soon coming 41DA Colt
Thunderer. Also if anyone can advise me of what bullet to use and if there is
anybody with a mold for sale. This will be my first try at reloading so I need to buy everything if anybody has such stuff or info I will apreciate it.

Cheapest way to go is fireforming 38spl brass. Ive loaded and shot mine 10 times over with not a single issue. Once they are formed they load and shoot just like my 41LC brass.:D

For bullets I would go with the hollow based .386" bullet over the .405" heeled bullet...easier to crimp and you dont get the lead backing out of the cases from recoil...Although the heeled do have a more "old west" feel.

Yes Fireforming 38 brass will work in a pinch but then you got a 41 cal perscribed Antique Revolver with 38 head stamped brass in it.

Id buy the starline 41 LC brass. Unless your doing all your shooting on your own proptery.
Problem with the 41 colt as i see it theres no Chamber throats the Chambers are .410 Dia and the bores are about .406 to .408 so even them .386 HB bullets have to do alot of expandeing to fill out into the Rifleing.

The proper pure lead Heeled bullets shoot more tighter groups cause there bigger Dia. and enter the bore more inline.
I think theres a special crimp Dia available for them.
I have a couple hunderd Heeled pure lead .405 Dia bullets on order and have made a tool (like a big pair of fat wire strippers) that crimps the Cases no problem.
The HB bullets are easyer to load tho.
