I'm looking for 44-40 soft cast bullets. I'm still new to reloading, so I'm not looking to get into casting right now. I know about bullet barn and wolf bullets, but I'm looking for something softer. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I looked for the samething and was not sucessful. Every commercial cast bullet I found was hard, hard, hard. Ended up buying a cheap little Lee mold and pot and making my own. Very glad that I did, it was so easy I amazed myself. The 200 grain lee worked great in rifle and revolver.

You may or may not be able to chamber .430 bullets. I cannot, but many others can. If you can, it opens up the much wider availability of bullets designed for the 44 Mag/44special.

However, you did say you were looking for soft bullets, and pretty much anything designed for the 44 mag is going to be hard. The world of cowboy action is where you may find soft 44-40 bullets.
Like the others in this thread, I cast my own. So not much help in that regard.
