I am interested in a Winchester 1892, but it is in 44-40, and I would prefer it to be 45 Colt. Is there enough diameter there to have the barrel bored to 45 specs? I think it may be a little thin...Are there better candidates for this on the 1892 platform?
Also of note, these are older, original rifles, as I'm not interested in any of the new stuff.
