.44 cal Starr DA revolver trigger question

This question is for those of you with experience with the .44 starr double action revolver.

When being used in double action, does your trigger reset fully after the trigger pull? Mine will reset the trigger when used in single action, but in double action it requires a nudge to get it moving forward.

The trigger reset spring is quite weak, and I'm wondering if it is meant to be that way to minimize the already massive trigger pull, or if it has gradually weakened over it's 152 year life.

If you're referring to the one marstar offers, I do believe it is.
