Your manual is right on, some being 24 grains and some say 25, the most I've ever seen in a loading chart.
That is also an excellent load and no need to try and go heavier.

A max load felt "right" recoiling into my palm, no primer or tight brass extraction issues. Seemed more accurate than 23gr too.

Do you find the ported barrel changes felt recoil much?

i use 30gr of W296/H110 with Hornady 180gr XTP with winchester Large pistol primers. makes for a flashy bang

The ported barrel makes a HUGE difference. I can shoot hot loads all day long without fatigue. Combine the ports with the long barrel and my muzzle flip is only a couple of inches.
