44 Magnum revolver. Which one to buy?

Got a henry lever and it needs a companion.

Strong, accurate, simple, reliable.

A bit slow to shoot, but 44mag full power is not something you want to shoot fast, anyway.

Anyone try the Pietta 1873 SA 44 mag?

It certainly matches the henry, but no idea how good it is.

Yeah I have a Pietta 1873 in 44mag. It's the 5.5 in barrel.
I reload and didn't shot full power ammo in it -yet.
With Trailboss and "middle" power loads it's very good. I doubt the grips on a 1873 is suited for comfortable shooting of full power 44mag loads tho.
Just my opinion.

Just watched some videos of a guy shooting the pietta 44 mag for marstar.
I don't know what he was shooting but it looks like it's not for me!

Ruger Blackhawk looks nice.

I have a S&W 629-6 and love it. My father has a Pietta Cattleman and it has spent more time in for repairs then on the range.

That one's a beauty. If I was in the market, and could attain permitting for carry in the bush, I'd buy one just like that in 4,5/8's..

(...it be my forever-gun if general wilderness/& ranch carry was simplified in this country)

I love my JP Saur 44mag colt single action army clone.

My hand, after about 30 rounds, doesnt love it so much. Hah

Buy a rugerr and load that s*** up.
I own five of them all very simple nothing ever goes wrong and you can shoot anything out of them.
If your gonna shoot 44 you might as well be able to shoot max loads.
