44 Magnum Rifle Collectors Hello

Timberwolf is the name you probably are thinking of :) yep it’s an iwi Timberwolf in 44. What a beauty. I figure there’s probably not more than a couple dozen at most in canada. Do you have one?

Love my forty4's also.
My carbine in my fave.. held 1 of those 357 timberwolf at the Calgary gun show. Should have bought it then.. the 44 mag is pretty rare.. only 7500 import into the us. way more then the more common 357

My .44 mag rifle is only a Rossi, the 16" Stainless Trapper version. It's a lot of fun and has been reliable for me, plus I think it looks pretty cool.Rossi.jpeg

Right on I have a black chiappa 92 13” barrel as well as a JM Marlin 94 peep sights on both. If I were to carry for predator protection it would probably be the chiappa. Stainless would be sweet tho. I was eyeing up the Rossi’s they have them in 454 Casull 😬👍🏻

I've had a new Marlin Trapper stainless in 44 mag for a few weeks now as my ride-a-long quad gun. It's a keeper. Fits me well and the factory Skinner peeps work good for me
I used a Rossi 1892 stainless in 454 Casul with Skinner peep (I installed) for the last 10 years or so in the same capacity. Love it also.
Sometimes a change is as good as a rest.

.44 Rossi with octagonal barrel and semi buckhorn sights. Even with my old eyes shooting off hand I can get respectable groups. I should have included a photo like Jay did. The action is smooth as silk. Levers are a lot of fun and they still do the job 100 plus years later. Does a Marlin .444 count as a 44? I have one of those, JM stamped. It makes a really satisfying bark when it goes off.

Does anybody recall those old Outdoor Life magazines with the guy, probably in his 50's (I was going to say old....but)? Red plaid or buckskin coloured jacket, collar turned up, light coloured stetson, rocky hills in the background with a bit of snow skidding by.....Thinking about lever actions makes me think about those days. Good memories.

These are cool & work pretty good on Deer plus rare with considerable value appreciation - example: https://www.precisionoptics.net/CON...d_Carbine_p/consign-rug-drfld-44mag-mikes.htm

I have the Winny trapper in 44 and just imported a 77/44. Just looking for a Deerfield carbine then I’ll have 1 in bolt 1 in lever and one semi auto. You might say I enjoy 44 rifles lol

My 44 magnum cabinet:
Iwi Timberwolf, ruger 77/44, ruger 44 carbine, JM Marin 94, and Chiappa 92 NSR

Hopefully the future will add a ruger falling block and a break action 084AE7E3-F4BD-42EE-B895-5B7E605D9EDF.jpeg
