Can anyone tell me how to get ahold of Ben Hunchak at MT Chambers, or give me any advice on where I can get cat bullits for my 444? Thanks.

You might be able to contact Ben through the 'Cast Boolits' website.
If no luck there, Bullet Barn list several weights of cast bullets for .44 Magnum, from 200gr. up to 300gr., sized to .430".
That diameter is likely on the small side for a .444, but they advertise custom sizing is available, and it might be worth a call or e-mail to them.
Regards, DaveF.

For what little cast bullet shooting I do with my Marlin 444S, these are the two bullets I use that I get from a friend locally.

One is a Keith style 250gr SWGC and the other, again a Keith style 325grSWGC. A word of caution, watch your C.O.A.L.. With the 325gr I have to crimp over the forward driving band to keep it under the maximum length. This is basically so you are able to cycle unfired rounds through the action.

As Johnn stated the main problem with .44 Mag/Spl bullets is the crimp groove is in the wrong place and most are sized to small to be useful. I have written lots up on cast bullets in the .444 Marlin and have designed a number of correctly sized and the crimp groove in the correct location bullets and they all work great. My goal was a small 200 Gn screamer all the way up to about 350 grn thumpers.

You can get a nice mold that myself and one other guy designed from Mihec molds http://www.mp-molds.com/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=3&=SID that can be used in the .44 mag pistol/rifle and the .444 marlin (three crimp grooves) with the correct crimp groove and size needed. It is deadly on deer and moose and can be cast with a hollow point or a solid out of the same mold.

Jump over to the cast boolit website and go to the lever gun section ht tp://castboolits.gunloads.com/forum.php lots of info there.
