whats the heaviest grain bullet one can fire out of a 444s marlin microgrooved barrel without significant loss of accuracy, on the internet I have seen answers from from a max o 240gr to 375gr, so what is it? I plan on taking it deer and black bear hunting in grizzly territory.

Lots of reading here that should answer your questions, though this is mainly on reloads with cast bullets. I've shot up to their 405gr. casts in my 444P "Outfitter", but I believe that one has the cut rifling Ballard bbl. Basically, you have to go to a .431 diameter cast bullet to get the best accuracy and least fouling, especially in the older micro-groove ones.
The Hornady 265 gr. FP is a great bullet for jacketed ones and was designed for the 444, not for the 44 Magnum like many other bullets.

My last triple 4 had micro groove rifling and shot MOA with 300 grain Speer sp's as well as just over an inch with 300 grain Hornady XTP's. Your mileage may vary. Both of those loads hit like a freight train and I would hunt anything on the continent with the 300 grain Speers.
