44mag ->where to buy?

Sorry, was using the search but it doesnt work for this (stooopid search!) Anyhow, does anyone know of the best price around for factory or reloaded ammo? What kind of prices are you guys paying??

They only way you are going to get .44 Magnum at a reasonable price is to learn how to reload. Roughly, depending upon your purchase location loading 1,000 rds of lead .44 mag will cost you about $200.00.

I managed to get 2 boxes of American Eagle hollow points for $30/box in Calgary. Doubt I will find them that cheap again. I am going to start reloading next month.

i'd love to get a .44 mag revolver but the ammo is really expensive like 75% more than .357 so im gonna wait till i learn to reload well first....

To give you an Idea of how much you save reloading I can load 50 rounds of .44mag with lead bullets and clays powder for about 5$

Geez, where do you buy your lead? I'm paying between $120.00-$140.00 per thousand depending where I shop. With powder and primers that would cost me $10.00/50.

Yeah, I would like to move that all you guys with an unlimited supply of free lead who cast your own bullets should not be allowed to participate in discussions about the cost of reloading.

It gives the rest of us unrealistic hopes.

I still have about 8 boxes of Winchester 240gr JSP left. Seems a waste to punch paper targets with my 6" satin Taurus .44 Magnum. I think I paid about $32/bx about 16 - 18 months ago.

I did, they say not untill the summer, and they'll be $350/1000 so that would be awesome. I bought a bunch of 9mm and 45, very good quality, all new brass.
