.45-60 and/or .45-75 Brass

You will have to order from Quality Cartridge as they carry both 45-60 and 45-75 cases if you do not want to trim cases down.

Also you can give BC Redneck a call as well for Starline cases. You will have to order 45-70 and 45-90 and trim them down to length as Starline does not list the lengths you want in precut lengths.

Like Polaris says, 45-60 is easily made by shortening 45-70. The 45-75 has a larger rim and base than the 45-70. I make it from 348WCF, it is a little more complicated but well worth the trouble.

Greetings polaris. How did you go about trimming back the .45-70 to .45-60 length?

I used my RCBS case trimmer, very easy.

And are the bullets themselves .457 or .458 ?
I'm thinking of getting into a .45-60 and I have .45-70 dies.
Can or do you adjust the .45-70 dies enough to use them or do you use dedicated .45-60 dies?
Thanks for your input and advice.

The bullets are lube-size to .457, but I think .458, or even .459 would be as good or better.
I use Lee 45-60 dies, they are good quality and affordable.
It seems that any 45-70 dies would work, but you can't crimp the shells with them, and crimping is quite important when using a tubular magazine.
