Just ordered a Marlin GSBL and can't seem to find a great selection of 45-70 ammo around
Where does everyone get there ammo from?
It's not necessary to reload, but,if you're so inclined and want to invest a ton pf time and money into it,it can be very enjoyable. The best ammo for Marlin I've found is Hornady LeveRevolution ballistic tip found at Canadian Tire.
The lever revolution can be a bit finicky to load as the cases have to be trimmed on a lathe to 2.040 as were most other bullets work fine in your average 2.095 to 2.100 case length. Something to keep in mind with the Marlin 1895!
