Where's everyone getting there 45/70 bullets from?

Got a new toy and I need some components, thinkin 400ish grain gas check'd hard cast projectiles...

Any other options then the bullet barn?

Though not really what you are looking for I shoot Berry's 350 gr plated bullets for plinking and target shooting, hard to beat the price compared to jacketed bullets. I get them from Custom Reloading Service in BC.

No not at all, I hear there gas check 390gr is a decent bullet for smokeless loads... I am just looking for other options

You could try R & R Bullets in ON (do the Google thing). I haven't purchased from him (yet) but have heard good things and the prices seem pretty reasonable.

Nice but Kamloops was a 12hr drive away so I dident make it... I was at the Calgary show and walked past lots of bullets but dident buy my 45/70 untill 2 weeks later so now I'm kinda stuck... Found one box of 50 Nosler fancy stuff at a local shop for $70... Think I would sell the rifle before paying $1.40 per bullet!

I've just been casting mine. ~500 grain wheelweight from a Lyman 457125.
With the cost of shipping and the wide selection of molds out there it makes ore sense to make your own.

Last lubersizer I seen on the EE was $265 never mind moulds a casting pot and lead...

Plus a fellas time is worth something too!

For the ammount I'm going to shoot this rifle I would rather buy bullets then start casting, that may change in the future but for now I'm not going to bother starting up another hobby

I cast mine, but have only heard good things about Bullet Barn.

I just go to P&D and buy 500 of the 405gr hard cast. Not sure if they have any in stock right now. You could try calling them.
