45-70 cast bullets

Besides Bullet Barn and Oma does anyone know of a quality commercial cast bullet operation in Canada that makes .458 (45-70) bullets? PM if that works better for you.

Honestly, it is hard to find so thats why I am casting my own.

R&R Bullets in Ontario (near Kingston). But since I don't know "where the moose grow biggest" I'm not sure if shipping will be a deal breaker for you or not.
Last price list I saw it was around $100 for 500 cast plain base between 300-400gr. There are several weights/shapes to choose from. Sized and lubed with red dragon lube I believe (could be wrong, going from memory).

There is no online store or retail store. You need to email/call the guy who runs it to make an order.

Another vote for R&R Bullets, but just FYI, Rick lives in Maitland, just outside Brockville (45mins.) from Ottawa. Got 250 x .303 cast bullets not too long ago. Great value and quality.

That's right, and for my black powder rifle, I need soft lead. Difficult to pack and ship soft bullets without damage.

MT Chambers in northern Saskatchewan also cast and sells many beautiful bullets in many calibers, .458" being one of them. I think he was banned here but he posts on Cast Boolits and has contact info listed there and maybe on the Alberta Outdoorsmen forum.

Yes he was banned here, but must have just gotten tired of this place. Good guy to deal with too, but ruffled a few feathers here because he couldn't pass up an opportunity to bash Lee Precision.
