I have a review on the .45-70 from one of my gun mags. The article stated that the supply was very spotty, and even remington didn't quite know from shipment to shipment when they'd get some if any.
Anyhow, the barrels regulate via a screw that adjusts the right barrel so you can get the 2 barrels to hit close. He had trouble getting a lot of the factory fodder to shoot at Point of aim. 2 types did ok, (black hills cowboy, and remington 300 gr JSP)
Anyhow, he said the fit and finish was decent, but he wished the barrels were a little heavier, as it didn't quite "hang" right when carried, and shooting off the bench would be a little easier. The ceiling for pressures was 32,900 PSI which is pretty decent if you are a handloader, as you can get your round up kinda hot, it just might not regulate with such a hot load. I wouldn't mind having one, because really, who here owns a double anything thats not a shotgun. I'll never have 6-20K to drop on a double rifle, so one under 1000 bucks would be mine if I saw one. Too bad I saw one 2 years ago in .45/70 and balked because I actually was in the store to buy a 25-06 for a wolf hunt, If only I had my time back. Would be a nice gun for reloaders to experiment with if you ask me.
