45-70 double gun fun

I have been waiting 5 months to get through with a dental procedure and get the green light to get back to the range, and this lil hoot was waiting all that time for the first trip out. Well today was plus 10, and the picnic table was waiting, so I finally got to get it out for a blast.
This was the ideal ammo, low noise, low recoil, and great fun.
Honestly the first time in years I had as much fun at the range as today, what a fun combo. I see why people like these little Baikals.

I wont say someone left a timmies cup on the 50m berm, cuz that aint 'accurate' enough for CGN, but it sure was fun. Need tin cans.

I regularly shoot my baikal 4570 double. Crude and stiff but functional and accurate with the right loads

I saw about 10 boxes of cheap 45-70 today, cheaper than 308 at the gunshow. Shoulda coulda woulda.
