I have seen a couple of the conversions done to rechamber an Enfield to 45-70. Does anyone know how involved this is and does it require much work beyond adding a new barrel and maybe tweaking the feed lips on the mag?

Yes, I would buy one if I could find one that I like, but that hasn't happened yet, so I figure I should work out some details and see if it could be done as a long term project for less than a king's ransom.

Thanks,
Mark

You have to rebarrel to go to 45-70. There is somebody in BC that does this conversion...anybody know the name and have a picture or two of the completed project?

I was thinking of getting this done also..until I found out the price
the guy in northern BC that does it is J R'S Custom Gunsmithing in Tomslake BC 250 786 5029. The price was going to be arout $600 for new barrel, mag and whatever else needed changing..would sure be cool to own one
