hey fellas I built one of these a few years ago used a #1mk3 action and a mcgowen 1-18 twist I mostly use it for hunting my property with subsonic loads. I am thinking of doing something different again and was wondering your thoughts on sale value, it has a leupold M8 on a custom mount and a boyds pepper laminate stock with a limbsaver pad

its heavy but is a pussycat with powerful loads and feeds fairly well from the mag (there is no front shell retention but it works)

ill get pics up soonish

A great gun but might be a hard sell. Had a Siamese Mauser in 45-70. Fun to shoot but not that many looking for a bolt rifle. If you get $500-600 with out scope, I think all will do ok. More money into it than you can get, like most customs.

Not sure what it's worth but I want it! Lol

I regretted not buying a Mauser converted to 45-70 that I saw at the swift current gun show a few years ago, that looked a lot like that. I think the asking price was $280 if my memory is correct.

A few years ago there were a few enfield conversions that sold in the $350 to $550 range , shoulda bought one , everybody wants the "guide gun " it is worth what somebody will pay you , myself I would not pay more than $450 without the scope , you can buy used guide guns in the $500 to $600 range . I would prefer a mag fed gun myself so you just have to find the buyer or make a trade, sometimes a trade is the best for both parties

300 to 500 would be a screaming deal to anyone who has looked into the cost of a conversion. I used to be interested in it but the 458 wm makes more sense to me now, especially with the cost you wont recoup from the conversion. 375 jdj on an Enfield or 50 ak on a siamese mauser are my latest flights of fancy
