.45 acp for webley mk1

With Trailboss you should be able to fill the case to the base of the bullet. Since it's a HB you can do a bit more without compressing. Compressing trailboss is bad. More info here: https://www.hodgdon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/trail-boss-reduced-loads-r_p.pdf

I use Unique for 455 webley more than anything else.
5.0 gr unique in the 45acp cartridge will be about 455 webley pressure max.
4.5gr Unique in the MKII webley 455 MKII brass cartridge will do about the same.

I don't have acp data but this is my data shooting the 255 grain flat nosed bullet in front of Unique powder in the 455 MKII hornady brass. OAL was 1.10 inches

5.2 grains of powder gave me 620 ft/secs with a calculated energy 218 ft/lbs. This load load most closely mimics the original MKII 455 factory load velocity of 630 ft/sec
Just for informational purposes 5.6 grain gave me 710 ft/sec and calculated energy of 285 ft/lbs. Keep in mind this is 29% above standard 455 pressure, don't visit here with your Webley. I uses this load occasionally with 455 in one of my Colt single actions .

From past trials I found the 265 grain HBRN bullet with 1.26 inch OAL in MKII brass will see almost identical speeds at same powder loads but most certainly at higher pressures.
In the end follow Jethunter's advice it is the safest.
