45 acp with sierra 200 fpjs....recipes????

usually i load 230 gr rn/jhp with 5 gr of wst in my kimber 45 1911.

anyone try 200 grainers.......?it was the size of shell browning originally intended for his pstol

help me out with your recipes.thanx. was gonna just rig up a few from 5-6 gr

i tried some SWC 200 gr. They were deadly accurate, but didnt feed worth a sh*t. I want to try some JHP, or similar, as the accuracy was incredible.
I use 700x for all my 45 loads, i like it the best.

thanks jd man. yeah i flanged some up yesterday. 5 - 5.8 gr wst. kinda look funny though ,cause their short. 1.175". ill see how they run this week or weekend. guess their not that popular

yeah i made up 30 or so, as a guy gave them to me to try. Id recommend the 700x, i use 4.7gr or it for the 230gr bullets,a nd it is a wicked load. Super accurate as well.

3.8 gr of VV 310 worked very well with 200 gr cast SWC. Accurate and clean

just got back from the range. 5.5 gr of wst seemed pretty darn accurate. didnt measure groups or nothing but 5 shots at 20-21 yards netted me a score of 49/50

I shoot a lot of 200 gr LSWC through my Colt's. Usually 4.8 gr of W231 or 4.6 gr Bullseye for a light load that is extremely accurate. The thing with SWC is playing around with OAL to match your particular gun.

I load 200gr JHP over 7.1gr of unique. They are doing around 1250fps from my Kriss Vector, I haven't chrony'd them from the 1911 or G21 yet though.

I also have loads for the same bullets with 800-x and universal but I'd have to check my log book to give data. No chrony numbers with them yet though.
