What would be the powder grain weight difference between Remingtons 185 gr j hp +P (R45AP6) load and a regular 185 gr load . I know the +P load is hot and I don't plan to shoot it in my Norinco Commander . Need to down load . Anyone know or point me in the right direction?
Thanks
All the best

I don't get what you want to do?

Pull a bunch of factory ammo and remove some powder to reduce it to a non +p load?

If so your wasting your time as you likely won't be able to find out what powder is in there and the two loads likely don't use the same powder anyway.

That's exactly what I want to do . Not going to shoot +P in my pistol so I guess I'll pull them apart and use a different powder that I can load for .
Thanks

If that's the case and you don't want to waste the powder I would measure the amount of powder in a couple of rounds and pending how much is in there reduce by half grain amounts.

BUT that could be dangerous pending the type of powder.

I think you would be best selling the ammo and buying components as +p ammo is usually a buck a round.
