lately, I find more and more 45 Auto brass with small pistol Primers....
Can somebody tell me what is the advantage of having small pistol primers in this cartridge...is it cleaner or more accurate than large pistol primers?...
I would really like to know...Until today, I find it is major pain in the neck when you prime the shells with large primers and all of a sudden you get stuck because of a small primer pocket.
Thanks for your input

I think that Winchester came up with this concept with their line of clean-burn ammo.
No regular or magnum primers & no small pistol or large. Just small pistol for all.
So instead of 4 different primers they only have one.

Must bring down the logistical problems of making primers but does make reloading 45ACP somewhat difficult.

it's no problem at all- you just segregate the standard 45 large pistol brass from the small pistol, and when you decide to do a load of small primered stuff, change your primer mech over to small pistol- with the lee 1000, i had to change the primer pin and the feed trough, with the loadmaster, you just have a seperate primer feed and swap it out when you take the shellplate off- just like you were going to change calibers from 9mm to 45 , but you don't change the primer feed
