.45 Cal or .50 Cal Whats The Better Choice?

I need to get a Barrel for my TC Pro Hunter. I will be using it for deer hunting is there any advantage to buying a .45cal or .50cal? Whats the better choice?

That's easy

.50 cal . Far better bullet selection.

.50 is no doubt the winner here in Canada...alot easier to find bullets for it.

Yes a 50 cal rifled barrel is very very adaptable, you can heavily patch a 361 cal ball and get a measure of accuracy...I like easy and adaptable.

Shootin a patched round ball out of a TC Prohunter, would be like shooting a 300gr SST sabot out of your musket...The two things just don't go together
