Time to start reloading.... Hard to find the good stuff.

I would if I had the time. I'm either going to have to find time to reload or sell and find a more common calibre revolver.
Not difficult to get started loading and straight wall cases are easy to load, using carbide dies.
There are folks around who cast bullets for the .45 Colt for sale.
A thousand large pistol primers and a bottle of Trail Boss powder will go a long way
You can start with a Lee Loader, Carbide dies, a hand primer, scoops, a trickle charger and a scale.
If you have enough empty brass saved, you can load a little at your leisure, when ever you have free time.
When I started, I did a lot of that during the long winter evenings.
Have fun.
An alternative may be to get other .45 Colt shooters together for a bulk order of 5000 rounds from SFRC, who should be able to arrange a run from Wolf Bullets of Kingston.

Thanks warthog , I guess I'll have to put my fly tying hobby on the back burner. Will look into re-loading gear as 38 s&w is also near impossible to find
