Anyone know who has a .45 Colt chamber reamer to lengthen the chambers on an N frame .455 Smith & Wesson. I know the Yanks had theirs in .45 and I have a Colt New Service which I had done years ago from .455 to .45 Colt. Alex.
Please don't do this, the gun is
at least 90 years old now.
Besides, if you really want 1 in .45Colt, they are not uncommon.
Just shoot it in .455; brass, dies & loaded ammo are easily available.
You're only paper-punching anyway, and .455 makes
ALOT more sense than .45Colt as a smokeless case.
If you plan to use the gun as a "wilderness carry" piece, there are modern .45Colts that make a lot more sense.
Besides, the S&W 1st & 2nd Model Hand Ejector cylinders are shorter than your Colt NS.
Years ago I punched both a New Service & a S&W, and have regreted it ever since.
If you do do it,
make sure you have a revolver chamber reamer.
