Just got off the phone with Brownell's, after trying to buy a couple of .45 Colt cylinder hones: one each Medium and Fine.
Shipping was $34.99 US for a couple of hones costing about $61.00 US
I can't seem to find anyone in Canada selling them.
Is anyone aware of a Canadian source?

Thanks.
I looked up Newman Tools, (In the West End of Greater Ottawa!)
Unfortunately, they don't have stock and don't carry what I need.
Motion and Brush Research are a similar situation.
Apparently our Dear Leader's efforts to gut and end shooting sports in Canada is working.
All are special orders and subject to some pretty hefty fees and import costs if I understand correctly from the sales desks.

Yes this, two months ago I needed a small warranty part from Savage that had to come from the USA - no problem had it in two weeks, Last week I called them for a similar situation and they said that they have been advised NOT to supply anything going to Canada......

Depending on how much polishing is needed, you'd be surprised how well a snug fitting bore mop type jag in a cordless drill with some valve grinding compound works.

I tried that, with a bronze brush and some Hoppes, but not with valve grinding compound.
I was a bit hesitant about that, but I think I'll try it.

You can get different grades of abrasives for the valve compound. Another thing you might want to try is some JB Bore paste on a mop. I wouldn't bother with a bronze brush as it won't hold any material where as the mop will.
