.45 colt pet loads and powder

I'm presently using a 250gr bullet with 9gr of Unique behind it. It's a good snappy load in a 4 1/2" Vaquero, as well as my 7" Uberti Schofield. My probelm is, it's a freaking filthy powder. What else can I use that burns a bit cleaner? Wutter yooze guys usin'?

i like the 250gr. Keith bullet with 5.5grs. of Trail Boss, that powder is great in the big case as that almost fills it!

Does it run clean? Any idear what the velocity is 'round or aboot? BTW, ya know what's cool? Uberti Schofield revolvers in .45 colt. First time shooting it tonight, terribly pleased with it.

I use a 250gr SWC with 6gr Trail Boss. Velocity is right around 700 fps from my Pietta.

250 gr RN with 5.5 gr of Trail Boss. Really pleasant to shoot - i've found it to be too weak under 5.4 gr and not so accurate in my guns over 5.6 gr ...

I use 6 grs of TB behind a 250 gr Keith bullet.
No problem with un burnt powder.
Burns clean.
