So, what's my WWII vintage 1911A1 .45 ACP's worth?

A lot depends on what they are.

Makers of USGI 1911A1 .45 ACP pistols in WWII were:

Singer [a sewing machine maker]
Colt [a firearms maker]
Union Switch & Signal [a railway signal maker]
Ithaca [a firearms maker]
Remington Rand [a business machine maker]

The serial number of the frame + associated inspector proofs will determine the frame maker & year of mfg. The top end [slide] will determine if it is correct for the frame maker. The associated small parts will determine if they are original/correct for the pistol. The finish/condition will determine if the condition is original/correct.

Values will be determined by: maker, originality, finish & correctness. There are a lot of variables to look at.

Post up some detailed pics & we'll go from there.

Without the info requested, such as condition (pics please) and maker it's hard to judge. You could have many ww2 "colt" model 1911s; one Remington 1911 in poor condition worth approx 350$ and a mint condition colt .455 1911 worth closer to 5000$. Examples may or may not come from my collection.
