Acquired a .45 John Martz Luger....Had to give it a try!!!...Shoots great!!.Flawless functioning!!...more recoil than a 9mm and also the mag is a bear to load having a super strong spring!!

Where in the world did you get one of his pistols conversion Lugers? I thought he was nolonger making these? A picture would be great here along with range report, you are one lucky pistol owner, cheers from NWO, Dale Z!

I'm sure you've been told before, but it is much safer to keep both thumbs on the same side. While your position works OK with a Luger... doing the same with a most other semi, while get you cut up...

Yikes I cringed when I saw that thumb sitting where it was! I know it's not a big deal with a Luger but still... Regardless you have a very interesting firearm there. Lugers are nifty let alone one chambered for the big .45.
 
From what I remember reading about 10 years ago, Martz would not use collector grade lugers, he liked mismatched and general run of the mill production WW2 BYF guns, as he took 2 frames and cut and welded them together to get a frame big enough to handle the 45acp, very inventive man, he built a Luger Artiliary carbine in 22 mag that I sure lusted after at the time, but $5000 back then was to much for this young gunn nut, with a mortgage and young wife to support! Now I wish I could get the gun for that little. thanks for the pictures, cheers Dale Z!

Not a huge fan of Lugers generally but that one is Uber Cool! Love the effort that's gone into it and the innovation. Besides, I'm a sucker for anything 45 :D
