.45 mags: shooting star vs. Tripp Research

Looking for opinions on mags. I really like the flush fitting mags for my 1911. Tripp research makes nice 7-round mags, but I found 8-round flush fit mags made by Chip McCormick (Shooting Star). I'm assuming the follower on the Shooting Star mags is smaller which allows 8 rounds instead of 7?

Any opinions on nice mags would be appreciated,

I have the Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags and they are phenomenal. They are flush fitting, and they also come with a base pad if the mood strikes you. I have never had a single problem with these magazines, I would highly recommend them.

I have used both and they are all fine. Pick the ones you like the best or can get the cheapest and go with them.

I have 6 Tripp Research Mags & 1 Chip McCormick Shooting Star mag with a Wilson follower. Does that tell you anything?

I recommend these all the time you cant beat the price and they look good.The most important part is I have shot lots of rounds through them flawlessly.
